Kyla Smyth & HOLY SMOKES PRESENT

AN Our Place Society FUNDRAISER

This event is in support of Our Place Society - a local community centre located in downtown Victoria. Our Place offers an array of services and amenities, including: hot meals, shower facilities, toiletries, free clothing, internet and computer access, and counselling services. Additionally, there are 45 transitional housing units. Aside from these services, Our Place provides an accepting and comforting environment for individuals suffering from addiction issues, mental/physical health issues, and homelessness.

Through this event, we hope to raise awareness about the needs/wants of those struggling in their daily lives. Kyla works in the clothing and hygiene department at Our Place and observes first-hand which items are harder to come by but greatly sought after. These items include (but aren’t limited to):

socks/underwear
men’s pants
shoes
baseball hats
purses/bags
accessories/jewellery
feminine hygiene products
razors
travel sized toiletries

We are encouraging donations at the door, however, the proceeds from ticket sales will also be donated to Our Place - so just attending will be making an impact! Fundraiser aside - there will be talented musicians to discover and support!
