Event Description

Barely North Entertainment is pleased to present the Cowichan Valley's own Arbutus Roots for an intimate show in the Chapel at Providence Farm (1843 Tzouhalem Rd., Duncan). Their style is West Coast rooted lyrics and acoustic instruments, with a driving sound that has been compared to The Tragically Hip and Dave Matthews with hints of City and Colour.

Like the tree, they strive to be unique and distinctly their own. They draw inspiration from all of the life around them. Sometimes the goal is beauty, sometimes it's a little gnarled and aslant. The wide range of music they listen to makes it no surprise that it is a little different.

Matt said it best though, "We're proud of who we are and where we are from, ya know, like craft beer!"
