Event Description

Tom Russell is an American singer-songwriter who was born in Los Angeles. He has lived in many places, including Vancouver and New York City, currently living in El Paso, Texas. His music incorporates elements of folk, traditional country & western, border and cowboy music of the American West. Russell's songs have been recorded by artists such as Johnny Cash, Ian Tyson, Nanci Griffith, Dave Alvin and others. In addition to his music, he is also an artist and published author.
Tom Russell's new record of originals, Folk Hotel, was released Sept 8, 2017. It includes 13 new Tom Russell originals and a duet of Bob Dylan's Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues with Joe Ely. Augie Meyers, Eliza Gilkyson, Redd Volkaert, and Joel Guzman also appear on the record. He has also just put out a book of lyrics and stories.
Tom is currently in the midst of a year-long tour of North America, Ireland and the UK, including his former home of Vancouver!
