Four bands perform at Copper Owl including a trio from Copenhagen, Denmark, visiting Victoria for the first time! Post-punk, lo-fi, art rock, new-wave and alternative should cover the genres. Check out the bands below!

Death Kart
Victoria’s down-tempo post-punk slackers Death Kart spill their guts with the lo-fi richness required to spin lysergic daydreams into hazy somnambulisms.

The Foreign Resort are Denmark’s finest musical export of post-punk and dark new wave. The band combines the shadowy mysticism of The Cure’s Pornography era with a driving production aesthetic akin to LCD Soundsystem.

Island Eyes are crafting exciting, experimental pop/rock that incorporates a range of instruments and electronics. Live, Island Eyes incorporate drum machines, various synths, delayed guitar and driving percussion to create their unique and grandiose sound.

Katabat are a bright, jangly indie rock band from Victoria. Named after a type of wind that cascades down a mountainside, the band echoes their namesake by playing rollicking, punchy rock songs with sharp twists and occasional dips into dream pop territory.
