FOUR YEARS AGO, we presented Cowboy Celtic as our second 'special concert'. Now ... we have the opportunity to present them again. Come and join us!

You can expect fine musicianship and GORGEOUS arrangements, not to mention some fun.

When I asked the group to describe what they do, they said:

"We don?t play traditional Celtic music and we don?t play traditional cowboy music. We play the kind of music that you?d have heard if you pushed back the swingin? doors at an Irish pub in Tombstone or Dodge City." David Wilkie, Cowboy Celtic

Cowboy Celtic, centered in North Saanich, BC, explores the Celtic roots of cowboy music. Beautiful three-part vocal harmonies and incredible musicianship ? both wildly rambunctious and hauntingly beautiful. The band includes David Wilkie on mandolin and vocals, Denise Withnell on guitar and vocals, Keri Lynn Zwicker on Celtic harp and vocals (from Edmonton, AB), and Joseph Hertz on fiddle (from Nanton, AB.) The group has recorded six CDs and is currently working on their seventh.

?This is more than music. It?s theatre and imagery and history and storytelling and more, all wrapped up in sagebrush and tartan.?
