Garden City Grooves presents the official Eventide/Soul in the Square after party, featuring Impulse Response and special guests Jon Epworth and the Vic City Sweat. This event is also the official Impulse Response CD release for their new EP "Light Waves". After checking out Eventide/Garden City Grooves free soul spectacular " Soul in the City" featuring Grace Love and The True Loves, come and celebrate an incredible evening of music with a nightcap at The Copper Owl.

Impulse Response is Victoria’s newest soul, groove, and R&B trio. The group is small with a big sound. Shanna and Alexander front the band as lead vocalists. With tight and punchy grooves, their sound is infused with sweet and soulful harmonies. The bands influences include: Soulive, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, The Meters, Herbie Hancock, Justin Timberlake, Donny Hathaway, Joss Stone, John Mayer Trio, D’Angelo, Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Marvin Gaye, and Ray Charles.
Jon Epworth and the Vic City Sweat make their VIctoria debut on July 7th. A reincarnation of Toronto's Jon Epworth and the Miracle Sweat, they will be performing songs from the Miracle Sweat's debut EP (2015). Jon has assembled a group of seasoned jazz and rock musicians to help bring his Stax inspired, energetic songs to Vancouver Island.
