Event Description

The Civic Orchestra kicks off its 32nd season with a fun Pops concert on November 7th at 2:00pm. Guest-conducted by Larry Skaggs (also a respected cellist in Victoria's music community), the concert will feature selections from Rossini, Strauss, Dvořák, Shostakovich, Anderson, Rogers & Hammerstein (Sound of Music), Gilbert & Sullivan (HMS Pinafore), Steven Brown, Lawrence Skaggs, and a world premiere of Cosmic Psalm by BC composer, Katya Pine.

The Civic Orchestra's members are a hub of local talent, with players ranging from students to professionals, all volunteering their time to the ensemble. The orchestra provides an opportunity for these local musicians to perform a wide repertoire of orchestral music, and also serves as a platform for aspiring soloists, conductors, and choral groups.

Children 12 and under receive FREE admission
Tickets are only $10 for Students with valid ID
