Join the members of the Cowichan Wooden Boat Society for a fun evening with the internationally acclaimed Shifty Sailors, a 16-member maritime singing group from Whidbey Island, Washington. They have performed their traditional shanty and other seafaring music as far afield as Eastern Europe and Hawaii. Visit their website (www.shiftysailors.net) for a musical taste! Performing on the pier at the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre on Saturday, September 12 at 7 p.m., guests will enjoy songs and shanties from their six CD’s, also for sale at the concert. This is only one of many fundraising events sponsored by the non-profit Cowichan Wooden Boat Society, the operator of the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre. These events help the Society to actively work to preserve, instruct and develop the skills of wooden boat building and related arts.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
