First performed in 1879, this timeless sonata has three movements...

Allegro molto moderato

This work from Johannes Brahms epitomizes the Romantic era and evokes the gentle flow of tears and rain in a truly poetic manner, through movements that are eventually hopeful, and finally triumphant happiness, with tender reminiscences of the past.
