Event Description

All voices can sing! All voices are welcome! Are you singing enough?

The Gettin’ Higher Choir is taking in new singers from Sept. 22 to Oct 2 for our Fall season and we invite you to join our singing community!

Whether you have been hesitant to sing in the presence of others or you have been singing all your life …we will welcome you with open voices!

In the Gettin’ Higher Choir we sing out of the simple philosophy that singing is our birthright; an essential activity for personal and community health and vitality. We are not associated with any religion or spiritual path, but seek to embrace and celebrate humanity’s highest aspirations through music.

Our Fall season no-audition, no-obligation new singer intake sessions are:

MONDAYS Sept. 22 & 29
The First Unitarian Church of Victoria, 5575 West Saanich Rd.

TUESDAYS Sept. 23 & 30 plus THURSDAYS Sept. 25 & Oct. 2
The Church of Truth, 111 Superior St. (James Bay)

NEW SINGER ORIENTATIONS from 7:00 to 7:30 each night and singing with the choir from 7:30 – 9:30 pm

Come try us out! We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds and offer a repertoire consisting of traditional and contemporary songs from many cultures sung in harmony.

Music reading and singing experience are both helpful but neither is necessary. The only requirement for singing with us is that you want to. We think you’ll love the experience.
