Within a couple of years they’ve become the face of an urban Native youth renaissance, championing their heritage and speaking out on aboriginal issues, while being on top of popular music, fashion and art. Touring heavily, they've played dozens of major festivals across North America this year as their fanbase explodes. In a sense, ATCR’s music is the soundtrack to a contemporary evolution of the pow wow: their Electric Pow Wow events in Ottawa showcase native talent and aboriginal culture, alongside an open, wild party.

DJ Bear Witness doubles as the crew’s visual artist and creates stunning, political and sometimes humorous videos that incorporate film and pop culture references to native people and reclaim the aboriginal image. This summer, A Tribe Called Red released their second full-length album, Nation II Nation in Canada and in the USA on Tribal Spirit Music. The album was nominated on the shortlist of the Polaris Music Prize as one of the 10 best Canadian album of the year and one 4 APCMAs (Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award) for best group, best producer, best album and best cover art. ATCR have also collaborated and produced one of the last known Das Racist song called Indians From All Directions as well as the song A Tribe Called Red on Angel Haze’s album Dirty Gold.

MAT THE ALIEN (Whistler)
Since the age of 14 Mat has been mixing, skratching and making mixes - beats , spanning many genres and styles but always having one thing in common - heavy beats and bass lines which appeals to a wide variety of crowds.
It all started after hearing the electronic sounds being played in the warehouse party's around the northwest of England in 88. In 1995 Mat moved to Whistler Canada to pursue his new addiction of snowboarding. Described by Knowledge Magazine as 'awe-inspiring' & 'some next level shit.' Mat has toured across the globe and performed in 14 countries in front of thousands. The Remixes for Nick Thayer, South Rakkas (Featured on Diplos Mad Decent Blog) , and also original music have received positive feedback and plays from some of the industry’s biggest names. His skratches can be heard on tracks by Fort Knox Five, Eprom - Ill Gates, Sweatshop Union , And EA Sports NBA Home Court 3. Now also touring with his video / DJ set, he is taking the solo DJ act to new heights, hitting all of the senses with custom remix and video edits

LIDO PIMIENTA (Toronto/Colombia)
Known as “Colombian darling” and “Soundsister”, Lido Pimienta jumps back and forth from electronic beats, analog synths and Afro-Colombian rhythms to out-of-this-world chanting. The release of her first album Color LP opened the gate for several collaborations with artists in Canada and around the world, making her one of the most prolific song-writer, lyricist and an improv virtuoso of her generation. The sophomore album “La Papessa” – which marks her departure from longtime music partner Michael Ramey (Golden Death Music) – being released soon alongside Toronto multi-instrumentalist and producer Kvesche Bijons-Ebacher (Harmonious Tribe, Spawn) and experimental Trombonist Steve Ward (Caribou, Friendly Rich, Minotaurs, Pick a Piper). Featuring in album is Andrea Echeverri and Conector (Aterciopelados) from Colombia, FAKUTA from Chile and Las Acevedo from Republica Dominicana to name a few.

SELF EVIDENT (Lighta! | Vancouver)
Intense dance music for dancers and heads. Vancouver's own shared the stage with many world-class producers including Africa Hitech, Addison Groove, Silkie, The Bug, Kingdom, DBridge, Girl Unit, Eprom, Skream, Loxy and Distance. Self Evident is part of Vancouver's legendary underground bass music Lighta! Sound Crew.

Ostwelve has traveled the world in a long music career spanning 2 decades, performing in numerous festivals and has opened for acts such as Guru, K’naan, Asbtract Rude and Snoop Dogg to name a few. Lately, Os has also had the opportunity to perform as a part of the red diva projects ensemble project “The Road Forward” at the 2013 PuSh Festival in Vancouver. At the same time Os was a part of the performance installation “Sometimes I Think I Can See You”, curated by Mario Pensotti, also a part of the PuSh Festival.
