Mashed Poetics is a night of music and spoken word mash up where we pick a music album and assign songs to poets to create a new piece of work based on the music. We also get a cover band to learn the tunes and perform them the night of the show. Poets present their work in between songs.
This September Mashed Poetics is teaming up for the first time with the annual Hogan’s Alley Poetry Festival to present Axis Bold as Love by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
The show will be happening at the Calabash Bistro on Sunday September 29th to help wrap up the festival. Poets from across the land will be performing their work inspired by the music of The Jimi Hendrix Experience. We hope you can make it out.
