AfriCa Fest 2013 will be a weeklong celebration of African and Caribbean culture. Our festival will encourage people to reflect and feel a sense of community pride, represent their image, culture and identity as well as contribute to cultural tourism. The festival will provide both a symbolic meaning and a social function, hence improving the image of the community. The AfroCaribbean community in Victoria is yet to have a festival or large scale event which expresses our group identity while providing an avenue for community participation and social interaction. The festival features a wide variety of activities such as a 2-day cultural exhibition taking place in Centennial Square, Downtown Victoria. In addition, we will be hosting a beauty pageant, fashion show, soccer tournament, a panel discussion, movies, daily community lunches and numerous workshops.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
