Juno nominated Canadian guitarist, Doug Cox and acclaimed Hawaiian slack key guitarist Anela Kahiamoe headline a concert benefiting Pacific Peoples’ Partnership (PPP) to raise money supporting Indigenous partners in West Papua Indonesia.
This celebrated concert event also features Pacific themed music with Victoria based group, Tradewinds, and Polynesian dance from the Pearls of the South Pacific.
Tradewinds will perform their captivating music of Western Samoa, New Zealand, Rotuma, Hawai’i and Fiji, in both English and indigenous languages (http://www.halfmoon.ca/tradewinds/). The concert also features the Pearls of the South Pacific, who perform high energy traditional Pacific dances from across Polynesia. For the final set, the Pacific Poi Boys, the musical combination of Juno-nominated Doug Cox and Hawaiian Anela Kahiamoe, will play their unique combination of blues, Hawaiian tunes, and 70's pop music.
