40 Acres of Rust

40acresofrust is a rock band based out of Victoria, BC. Founded in 2010 it currently features three members:Kevin Burnip (Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter), Tyson Bailey (Bass guitar) and Aaron McLeash (Drums and percussion).

When 40acresofrust plays they summon the power of Satan to make all kneel before them...we are all about pleasing your mom but we also dont mind pleasing your grandma...if you like a kind of mellow sound that builds up into a monster rock sound, then takes you back to a place of serine beauty you might be in the right place... also dont be intimidated by the operatic style volcals of the red neck singer, he cant help but be hudge and bald and allways ready for action...
"its eaiser to buy love then make it go away"

Solipsis was born sometime around the turn of the century as Eric Hogg’s acoustic guitar driven studio project, blending big harmonies, unusual chord changes and sonic experimentation into memorable songs. Almost a decade and three albums later, the solo project has evolved into a full band complete with drums (Jud MacKay), bass (Nigel Bazinet), electric guitar (David Parfit) and sequenced electronics, bringing the songs new life on stage for 2012. Solipsis’ latest offering, Twilight Horizon, was released earlier this year and can be previewed at Email [email protected], come to a show, or head down to Ditch Records to get your copy. A new album is currently in the works.
