Montreal power-pop / pop-punk combo, SONIC AVENUES, hit Victoria at the tail-end of their current west coast tour. Lemme just say, their recently released full-length on Going Gaga records has gotten tons of play around Talk's Cheap Manor. Still wishing the Exploding Hearts had been around long enough to do a second album? The Sonic Avenues Lp is the closest thing you'll ever get. Great songs and (fom the videos I've seen) an energetic live show too!

Local boys, DURBAN POISON, open the show with a little high energy Dolls / Heartbreakers swagger. I can't believe I still haven't see these guys play..."Wanna Hear About Dancin'" off their 7" is the first bonafide hit I've heard outa Victoria since I've lived here. Should be good!

TALKS' CHEAP DJ's will be holding it down spinning punk-rock, power-pop, rock'n'roll, etc records, before, after and in between the bands.
