Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra (VICO) aims to shed new light on the art of intercultural music making. Co-Artistic Director and composer Mark Armanini will bring audiences stories and musical discoveries from his recent trip to Wuhan, China to study the famous Zeng Hou Yi Tomb Bells. This magnificent 65-piece bronze bell set dates from 433 BC, the era of Confucius. Imagine the creative potential that lies in these ancient instruments, for which no musical scores survive.
