Envisioned by Jowi Taylor and brought to life by luthier George Rizsanyi, the 6SN guitar was crafted from Canadian icons, artifacts, and sacred objects – each piece symbolizing a significant element of Canadian spirit, culture, and history: wood from Louis Riel’s schoolhouse, Pierre Trudeau’s canoe paddle, the legendary Golden Spruce of Haida Gwaii, and many more – 64 in all, from every province, inspiring infinite possibilities for personal connection.
Victoria’s piece is from Fan Tan Alley’s original doorway.
Since its launch on Canada Day 2006, the guitar has travelled many thousands of km across Canada, been played by hundreds of different musicians and been held by thousands of Canadians – at festivals, schools, concerts, and community events around the country. This is its first time in Victoria! Come on out and give it a warm welcome :)
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
