Event Description

Canadian Folk Icon, Vancouver's own FERRON, has been compared to Bob Dylan (or him to her) for her complex, layered lyrics, many of which were written at her Saturna Island retreat in her early songwriting years over 30 years ago when she started becoming known at W. 4th Ave's Soft Rock Cafe. Her following is immense; her audiences can't get enough of her. Ferron's dry sense of humour and her ability to laugh at herself has made her a West Coast favourite (Note: She's in this year's Vancouver Folk Festival's line-up).

Playing with Ferron is the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Jami Sieber's (Seattle) electric cello (and vocals), Shelley Jennings (Massachusetts) on guitar, and Daryl Havers (Vancouver) on keyboard. The playful intereaction between these performers on stage alone is worth the price of the ticket. A very special show not to be missed.
