VICTORIA'S 9TH ANNUAL SKA FESTIVAL is again coming up quickly!:) For a ninth straight year everyone is very excited about how the festival will rock everyone's summer on the westcoast of Canada and for people around the world. For the first time Victoria BC Ska Society is proud to have the pioneers of the genre itself THE SKATALITES headline the festival. Also, New York's EASY STAR ALL STARS will co-headline with the Skatalites in what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting, dynamic line-ups in the festival's history!! As many of you may know EASY STAR ALL -STARS Longtime Easy Star producers Michael G and Victor Rice, reinterpreted Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon,' transforming it into deep dub and reggae grooves. A huge independent success story, Dub Side of the Moon has been on the Billboard Reggae charts for over 100 weeks and has helped spur sold out performances by the Easy Star All-Stars all over the world. Following Dub Side of the Moon, Easy Star All-Stars released RADIODREAD based on Radiohead's OK Computer album. That album featured artists such as Toots and the Maytals, Citizen Cope, Morgan Heritage, Horace Andy and other reggae greats. Now they'll have their brand new EP 'Until that Day' to perform to tons of fans with baited breath!

THE DEBONAIRES from Riverside, California will be gracing us with their most entertain, soothing, smooth reggae/ska/jazz sounds. This is among the most underrated and talented ska bands in North America and we are very grateful to have them support both The Skatalites and Easy Star All Stars.

Local favourites Current Swell will open the Finale representing Vic Town in the best way possible with their amazing blend of reggae, folk, ska, rock and blues! We're all in for a treat and you can purchase ticket now to ensure admission in Victoria at Lyle's Place, Ditch Records & The Reef. For more info on tickets please refer to web site info.

This concert is all ages with beer gardens, food concessions and merchandise tents:)
