You are invited to attend a special ICA benefit concert on Friday February 22nd at 7:30pm with live music, a silent auction, food and other surprises at the Victoria Event Centre at 1415 Broad Street - across from A Channel.
The evening will feature the music of Latin American musician-singer-songwriter José Pepo Saavedra. Pepo’s music follows the tradition of the Latin American musical genre known as Nueva Canción. Originally from Puerto Rico, today Pepo lives in Tucson, Arizona where he is dedicated to working with local communities, children with disabilities and their families. Pepo has also collaborated with local groups joining the struggle to advocate for immigrant rights. For more information about Pepo’s visit and his music visit his website: www.myspace.com/josepeposaavedra
The evening promises to be an enjoyable gathering of great music, friends, food and fun. All proceeds will go to support the programs and services of the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria.
Tickets are modestly priced at $10 in advance, $12 at the door, available at the offices of ICA at 930 Balmoral Road and Adriana’s Restaurant located at 1527 Amelia Street.
