“Over My Head (Cable Car)” introduced The Fray to millions of listeners worldwide, but it’s the follow-up, “How to Save a Life”, that has catapulted the Denver band into the superstar category.

Thanks to the success of that song, a radio and television staple for the last several months, the group’s 2005 debut How to Save a Life has just gone double platinum. Last year, the disc swept the digital categories, including Digital Songs Artist of the Year, Digital Album Artist of the Year, and Digital Album of the Year, at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards. Since the release of the album, The Fray has been playing to bigger and bigger crowds, sometimes opening for Weezer, and selling out shows in clubs, theatres, and larger venues worldwide. Often compared to Coldplay because of its piano-based melodies and naked emotionalism, The Fray is one of the breakout successes of the last few years, and a moving live act.
