Lenka is an Australian singer/songwriter known for creating uplifting, melodic songs, such as The Show, Trouble Is A Friend, Heart Skips A Beat and Everything At Once. Her music has been used widely in film and television, most notably in Moneyball, Ugly Betty and campaigns for Windows 8, Coke and Old Navy.
Her career in the arts began at 13, as an actress in Australia. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in sculpture and started to branch out into writing songs and making music. She joined forces with critically acclaimed Australian band, Decoder Ring, to create the award-winning soundtrack to the film Somersault in 2004. Lenka then moved to the US and released her debut self-titled album in 2008 on Epic Records.
After two successful albums under Epic, Lenka has evolved (again) to create an independent label of her own to make not only new music, but also her art which has become synonymous with her music and live show. Her third album sees her returning to work with some of her favorite producers (Kevin Salem, Pierre Marchand) and coming full circle to collaborate with a former Decoder Ring band mate, Tom Schutzinger. The new album, Shadows, which will release in June 2013 is a collection of lullabies for adults…Lenka style.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
