Jazz Afric

Jazz Afric, a Vancouver based group comprised of 4 Togolese musicians. Lead Singer/Songwriter/Guitaritst Richard Amouzou and his 5 piece band music is influenced by Western popular music and Jazz, West Indian music and Latin-American dance music. The complicated rhythms, responsive choral singing and flattened or blue notes found in Black American songs and church music reflects African traditions.
