Oct. 29, 2009 (Archived)
The Bastion Jazz Band, a group of like minded, unamplified musicians, perform traditional New Orleans jazz, every Sunday evening 6:00 till 9:00 pm, at the Blethering Place Tea Room in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Lyrical, bluesy and unhurried, the BJB treats fans and diners alike to an evening of music rarely heard outside of the Crescent City. Featuring compositions of Jelly Roll Morton, WC Handy, Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong, the BJB carries on a tradition that's been alive for over one hundred years. If you are in the neighbourhood, drop into the Blethering Place and hear the band live.
