I’m a lifelong writer and even founded my very first newspaper when I was in grade 3. My passion for the written word carried on throughout my education, first in English and Linguistics and then again as I studied law. I returned to my editorial roots in college, writing for and editing the school paper.
Now, writing is an integral part of my life – whether I’m developing informative courses, creating witty puns and greetings for AI, or penning humourous articles.
I began performing comedy in December, 2018, as part of the Tinder Tales lineup and fell in love with the stage. Since then, I’ve been performing stand-up and giving serious-but-humourous talks as often as I can.
Why Comedy
Because sometimes the only way to process reality, or your feelings about reality, is to take a break and laugh. Personally speaking, comedy has helped me so much – giving me reasons to laugh, to create, and, perhaps most importantly, to get out of bed.
Of course, changing the reason why reality is awful matters, but everyone needs self-care and, for me, that’s where comedy comes in.
I may not be able to literally save lives or educate the next generation, but I can use comedy to make reality feel a lot less tragic.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
