The Bruce Freedman African Groove Band

since circa 2007

For more than 20 years, saxophonist Bruce Freedman has been one of Vancouver’s most committed and exciting jazz artists, creating Coltrane-influenced music that is intense, fresh, and from the heart. This new group features African groove-based blowing from some of our city’s heavy hitters. Hypnotic, toe-tapping music with elements of free jazz.
