Noridic Connect f. Ingrid and Christine Jensen

Canada’s powerhouse duo of Ingrid trumpet and Christine Jensen saxophone, need little introduction to music fans.
What ’s of special interest is their collaboration with the award-winning Swedish pianist Maggi Olin. Although the three began working on projects 15 years ago, their Nordic Connect Quintet is an exciting culmination of that fruitful relationship, a chance to showcase the many similarities that Canadian and Swedish musicians share when it comes to making jazz in the 21st century. Having just finished an extensive tour of Denmark and Sweden, this stellar quintet will be in top form as they display their formidable skills at soloing, arranging, and composing. The band includes Jon Wikan drums and Mattias Welin bass.
