Counterfist has become a staple of Seattle’s local rock scene. The rebuilt remnants of various projects, the band has been writing and performing original, heavy music since the summer of 1999. The sound can be described as a clean, precise, and beautiful blend of heavy, bending guitars, high, soaring vocals, and tribal-like drums. Counterfist has a clean fit in the same genre as many of the 90’s and post 90’s NU metal artists such as Tool, Deftones, Soundgarden, Muse, N.I.N, & Failure.
In October of 2010, Counterfist traveled to Weed, California to record with Grammy Award winning producer Sylvia Massy.
With a solid following, the plan for the future focuses outward on regional, national, and ultimately, world touring.
The band has endured many changes in the lineup throughout the years. Yet, the addition and loss of keyboard, bass, and guitar players has not wavered the bands’ popularity or drive. Currently, only two of the original members still remain; Vocalist George Grissom and drummer Adam Clark. Bassist Rodney Moore (Formerly of Dead Stare), guitarist Michael Fisher (Formerly of Cornerstone), and the newest member, Travis Murphy (Formerly of L.S.D.) are prominent additions that have help create the renowned sound that is Counterfist.
Counterfist has played almost every venue in the Seattle area. If they welcome rock music, chances are, Counterfist has been there. They have also had the opportunity to share the stage with bands such as Floater, Powerman 5000, Adema, and Taproot.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
