Afrosuitbike is a four piece harmony infused rock band who have a style all their own. With each member not commited to any one instrument, this makes for an exciting live show. Afrosuitbike members are Julie Robinson (guitar, vocals, drums, bass) who was previously a solo acoustic artist who played in Ontario for four years before moving to Vancouver Island. Pete Byrne (guitar, keyboard, vocals) who was also a solo acoustic artist that played Southern Ontario before moving to Vancouver Island in pursuit of a band. Jay Santarossa (drums, bass, vocals) who played in the bands Au Naturel, Operaci and did solo work in hip-hop over the last five years. And the suits latest addition, Duncan Booth - a diverse, multi talented musician who's covered all the bases of the music scene. All members are originally from Amherstburg, Ontario and have known each other for many years, but not until they collectively moved to Victoria, did the band get together and begin their rise to stardom. As an upcoming unsigned band, Afrosuitbike is working hard on playing as many shows as possible to get people to truely enjoy the type of sound they have to offer. They just recently finished their first full length album after three months in the studio. Eleven different, catchy tunes that span from acoustic, electrifying classic rock, to beach boys/fletwood mac/beatles type melodic harmonies with a twist. The cd is $10 and is available only through direct contact, at shows, or email.
