Event Description

Vancouver Island's ONLY annual mural festival is back for another awesome year! The East West Mural Fest takes place in Esquimalt and Vic West from August 18 - September 2nd, 2024. Throughout the festival we'll create larger-than-life public art pieces and come together in our neighbourhoods to celebrate community, placemaking and all the wonderful things we cherish about the cities we call home.

Produced by ECAH and in partnership with the Trackside Paint Jam, EWMF brings together muralists, urban artists, emerging creatives and fantastic painters living right here in Esquimalt and Victoria. We're proud to be one of Canada's only festivals that welcomes first time muralists and provides annual professional development opportunities for emerging muralists.

The festival is possible due to the support of the Township of Esquimalt, City of Victoria Festival Improvement Grant, BC Gaming Grant, and the BC Arts Council.
