The Royal Canadian College of Organists performs “Music for the Soul's Journey: Works for Viola, Organ, and Voice” at Chalmers United Church, with Robert Hall and Henry Janzen performing music by Barber, Britten, Duruflé, Fauré, Finzi, Hindemith, Sweelinck, and others.

About Robert Hall
Robert Hall is an Ottawa-based singer, organist, choir director, and composer. He sang professionally with the Vancouver Chamber Choir and Tudor Singers of Montreal, and has directed many choirs, including the Canadian Centennial Choir, the Champlain Valley Oratorio Society, and the Laurentian University Choir. After spending over twenty-five years teaching at Laurentian University, he relocated to Ottawa in 2021 where he is active as a composer and as Music Director/Organist at City View United Church. All of the transcriptions in this program are his.
About Henry Janzen
Henry Janzen has a distinguished career as a soloist, ensemble musician, and conductor in Canada and the United States. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Music at the University of Guelph for over twenty years where he teaches applied strings and chamber music. The Hart House Orchestra, under his leadership, perform regularly in Toronto and tour each year, which in recent years have taken them to Carnegie Hall and Europe. He and Robert Hall have presented viola and piano recitals across Ontario, including Toronto, Sudbury, Collingwood, Guelph, and Mindemoya.
