The Copper Owl is excited to present a free film screening of the Bill Callahan tour documentary, Apocalypse, by Hanly Banks!

Film Screening at 8:30pm at the Copper Owl

"Houston-based Hanly Banks’ experimental documentary captures the underground creativity of 46-year-old Bill Callahan on tour in support of 2011's Apocalypse. His lo-fi sound filled with twang and reverb offers a noirish take on Americana. Her film of Callahan and his band (guitarist Matt Kinsey and drummer Neal Morgan) neatly stitches together different performances with scenes from the road. A rare glimpse into - and out from - the tour van windows of an important American songwriter." - Chicago International Movies & Music Festival
