The Paisley Restaurant
The Paisley Restaurant has Permanently Closed and will be missed by many locals.
It is always a sad occurrence, for musicians and live music lovers alike, when a venue closes.
Being a family restaurant, The Paisley was an all ages venue and provided a rather unique (for Victoria) environment for live performances.
According to the log on this site, The Paisley featured 163 evenings of live local music!
Particularly worthy of note, among them were included many "Songwriter Nights" (a weekly open stage) hosted by Terry Brennan (Songwriter Nights now appear to be continuing on Friday nights, at Cabin 12).
On behalf of Evans & Church and (hopefully not presumptuously) everyone who ever enjoyed performing or watching a show at The Paisley, I express a BIG THANK YOU to the owners and staff for making a significant contribution to the music scene in Victoria.
We wish you ease and expediency in dealing with and recovering from the demise of your restaurant and hope that all your future endeavours will be most beneficial for all involved
