I'm an amateur bass player, musician, songwriter, part-time as I'm busy with work and family but nevertheless full of fire and ready to go! I had my own band during my youth for 8 years but that was 25 years ago and I've been missing it big-time!! I have a unique style of bass playing, which is quite fast and aggressive and complex, integrating metal and rock, blues, jazz, and classical influences. I'm dying to share my tunes with other musicians to hear what they might sound like, and I'd love to jam to your tunes as well. My main influences are KISS, Rush, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, etc. I grew up on classical music and then discovered rock/metal, and now I'm adding jazz chords and jazz scales into the mix. Most of what I play is what I write myself, and I've always felt musicians should write more of their own material than copy other bands. I've taught myself music theory and am serious about finding the right musicians to jam/write with and eventually to form another band with! Drug-free is a must. I'd love to make this a win-win for everyone, where everyone gets to write and everyone gets to have a say in what we play.
