Born in Havana, Cuba, Juan Carlos "Chocolate" graduated from National School of Arts.
Since he was 17, he has toured with well recognized Cuban orchestras and has worked full time in music for the last 16 years.
He is an accomplisehed trumpet player, latin percussionist, and has also directed his own bands by singing, and doing basic arrangements of latin traditional tunes.
He has lived in Canada for 3 years, and recorded with band like "PaperBoys", "Santa Lucia", and "Meagan Maria".
