A product of Southern California, Uberzone, aka Q, aka Timothy Wiles, at one time held the distinction of being California's top breaks producer and one of the top breakbeat producers in the nation. In 1997 he released first two singles, "Botz" and "The Freaks," for the City of Angels label. They made waves in the dance world and soon Uberzone found himself on rise with remixes of Sarah McLachlan and The Crystal Method. In 2001 he was signed by Astralwerks and released his debut LP Faith in the Future. Uberzone's skills in the studio are impressive to say the least. Whether he is using a computer to remix or just compiling tracks for a mix album, this is when he is at his best. The way he constructs breaks is so innovative that he has been compared to huge names like the Chemical Brothers and the Crystal Method. SPIN magazine thought so highly of his ability to play with breakbeat that they named him one of six producers who create the biggest beats ever. His choices seem to have a little something for everyone so, like the weather on Everest, if you don't like it, just wait five minutes.
