Tzenka Dianova, considered by many to be Canada’s finest interpreter of new music for the piano, has performed as a orchestra member with the Pleven Philharmonia, Sofia State Academy Philharmonia, the Victoria Symphony and the Auckland Philharmonia and is currently associated with the Victoria Symphony and Vancouver Island Symphony. In this solo piano performance, Tzenka will give a rare performance of For Bunita Marcus by American composer Morton Feldman.

Tzenka Dianova will be performing as part of the Open Space Piano Series Between the Notes. Other performers include Lubomyr Melnyk on Saturday February 27, 8 p.m. at Alix Goolden Hall and Gust Burns, performing two unique concerts Monday, March 1, 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 6, 8 p.m at Open Space as part of his Piano De/Re-Constructed residency. A pass for all four concerts can be purchased for $35 and for members, $30.

Tzenka Dianova (advanced classical pianist)

Brief Biography Tzenka Dianova-Edwards was born in Gabrovo, Bulgaria in 1971.
