Student club Society for Indian Classical Arts (SICA) is presenting a Bansuri (Flute) and Tabla concert on Friday November 13, 2009 at 7:30PM. Bansuri is a transverse alto flute made of bamboo from Indian subcontinet. Suramani Pravin Godkhindi, an amazing multifaceted artist is an expert playing Bansuri. He is trained in Kirana Gharana style of Hindustani Classical music and also performs in Ghatkaari style. He is a popular star on Indian TV, MTV, Jazz/Film music and a Grade "A" artist of All India Radio. Don't miss his performance on this North American tour "Music for Soul" with Charudatta Phadke on Tabla. The show starts at 7:30 PM on Friday November 13 at Hickman Building (HHB 105), also known as Learning and Teaching Center at the University of Victoria.
