Dragonette is a Canada-born, London-based electropop band consisting of Canadian singer Martina Sorbara, bassist and producer Dan Kurtz, drummer Joel Stouffer, and British guitarist Will Stapleton (who replaced original guitarist Simon Craig following the band's move to London).
Following low chart positions in the UK and weak sales for both their debut and sophomore singles, and debut album, the band was dropped from Mercury Records late in 2007. They have however retained their deal with Universal Music Canada; an irony, as the band moved to London from Canada believing they would be more successful there. At one point, the band shared management with the Scissor Sisters.
