Bio: I've been playing guitar since I was 16. When I heard Angus Young I wanted to play guitar just like him. Shortly thereafter I heard Metallica and Living Colour and began to dig more aggressive music. Then I heard Sly and the Family Stone and began to research funk from the 60s and 70s. I moved to Victoria and helped form a tri tentatively called the Pulltoys, but after a couple years we never amounted to enough to continue. Then I took a break from playing with other people as often, but made friends with people in the musical department at UVic and had my head turned around again. I learned about jazz and contemporary classical music and weird underground rock bands that included this stuff like: John Zorn's Naked City and Mr. Bungle. I also got into Frank Zappa at this time.
Goals: I want to form/be part of band that plays Ween-type music. Ween are the best example of eclectic, intelligent, satirical rock around. I want to make music like they do: no boundries, no limits, excellent musicianship, and great wit and humour, but with depth when required.
Influences: Ween, Flaming Lips, Talking Heads, Parliament/Funkadelic, Queens of the Stone Age, Zappa.
Bands Past and Present: the Pulltoys. I'm casually jamming with a drummer presently.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
