Event Description

This event is offered, through the generous support of a local patron - FREE - to the public! All donations made will go as a fundraiser to support the daily operations of Hermann's Jazz Club!
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Wes Carroll honed his craft at Vancouver Island University’s jazz studies program (2014) and is currently doing a masters in jazz performance at the University of Toronto. He walks a virtual tight-rope delicately balancing detailed arrangements with the power of spontaneity. He creates topical songs about important issues like social justice, surveillance, mental health, climate change and even a few love songs. Since early 2015, the group has enhanced and perfected their unique blend: stretching out into a world of hip-hop grooves, soul and electricity while not losing their jazz footing. They are currently promoting their second studio album, “Elephant in the Sea” (2020).
