the fifty fifty arts collective new music program
presents:

Colin Fisher
Multi-instrumentalist (guitar, saxophone, drums, guzheng, tambour, flutes, misc instruments) and composer. Colin Fisher is an active voice in the Improvised, Rock, Folk, Experimental and Creative Music Community in North America.

Colin has been most active with Not the Wind, Not the Flag, Elfin Choirs (solo project), Bernice, MANY ARMS, I Have Eaten The City, Bad Breath, HAHA, @Body Help, Pick A Piper, Steve Kado’s 2003 band, New Civilization, Prince Enoki Insect Orchestra, - Colin has appeared and collaborated with: Anthony Braxton, Caribou, Jah Youssouf, Rhys Chattam, William Parker, Dominic Duval, Sabir Mateen, Joe Mcphee, Maury Coles, David Daniels, Chris Kelsey, Paul Hession, and many others.

Insular Dwarfism
feat. Shane M Krause (bass clarinet/saxophone) who has played with Mats Gustafsson, Christian Munthe and Peter Evans as well as playing as a member of Secret Mommy Quintet and They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, Dixie's Death Pool, Shapes and Sizes and P:ano.
Trav Short (acoustic bass) local player in the Victoria jazz scene who plays with the Wes Carroll Trio, Sara Marreiros, and the Lane Arndt Trio as well as participating in the Sheets of Sound series at the Copper Owl.
Jro J Schuurman (drums) long time player on drums but also a multi instrumentalist with a passion for improvisation. J. cut his teeth by playing Vancouvers Fake Jazz series and Calgary's Bug Incision series multiple times. These days his main project is electronics driven Psychic Pollution but is also a current member of Island Eyes. Also as a drummer for hire he has spent time on drums for locals CROATIAxx, Elan Noon, Scars & Scarves and Golden Hand. Other projects include Jane Vain & the Dark Matter and Lucid 44.
