Karel Roessingh is a composer, arranger, producer and musician who has written hundreds of scores for TV and film. He’s performed with symphony orchestras and rock, jazz, and folk ensembles throughout the world.

Karel has many of his own recordings, produced Canadian folk legend Valdy's latest CD, co-produced Maureen Washington's Christmas album, played and arranged for a new CD by Edie Daponte, and is currently working on two new albums of his own.
Karel has been the recipient of numerous awards. The latest is an award by Westshore Arts Council in appreciation of Highlands Music Coffee House’ work in bringing arts and music to Westshore and Karel Roessingh’s music acheivements. Karel will be given this award on Jan 14 at the concert.

Karel lives with his wife, artist Brenda Alexander-Roessingh near Victoria in the Highlands, where he has served two terms as Mayor and currently is in his 5th term as a councilor.

Auntie Kate
Auntie Kate began her career in the early 1980’s alternating her time between the west coast R&B band, Club Mongo, and singing jazz ballads with Patrick Dickson at Benihaha’s in the Hilton in Waikiki. She has also been playing in the bands Auntie Kate and the Cheap Suits which took Victoria by storm, as well Auntie Kate and the Uncles of Funk band which has been featured extensively on the blues channel of the Galaxie network.

Some of the CDs she and her band have created are: “Food For Thought”, “Do You Have This In Blue?”, and “Snapshots”.
