The Eventide Music Series! A free, all-ages, accessible, outdoor, multi-week series of musical performances. Eventide was developed as a partnership effort to animate Centennial Square and to support the local, emerging and diverse music scene in Victoria, BC.

EVENTIDE: a night of Indie Rock


With an already impressive 12-album discography under his belt, Car Seat Headrest continues to release unique and interesting lo-fi rock music. Now based out of Seattle, Will Toledo has been keeping busy as his music develops and grows from each album to the next.

Formerly called Wand, Island Eyes is the project of Derek Janzen based right here in Victoria. His latest and self-titled release struck a perfect balance between dream pop and indie rock and was unconventional in the best way possible.


Jons have become a hometown hero of sorts. Despite having only released one full-length cassette, they find themselves on dozens of show bills every year. Their lo-fi psych-rock sound is something that people crave and Jons have really hit the spot.


Having only recorded a modest amount of tracks has not stood in the way of Wise Child’s demand at local venues. They showcased their pop/rock sound all around town before recording their first EP Noisefloor.
