Garden City Grooves presents: A NIGHT OF FUNK AND SOUL

This 9-piece soul/funk/r&b group are hoppin’ on the ferry and making their way to our very excited little Island! Grace Love will be showing us why she’s known as “Seattle’s first lady of soul” alongside the True Loves. With each gig they collect more praise from various musicians and critics alike. They’ll be in Victoria showcasing their original Pacific Northwest brand of funk and soul which is sure to fit in nicely at Centennial Square.

Eventide veterans The New Groovement return to the Centennial stage on August 11th. They’ll be playing tracks from their 2015 full-length release The Orange Album and showing audiences why it won Best Album of the Year at the Vancouver Island Music Awards. Don’t forget to check out their energetic and full-feeling funk/soul/hip-hop performance for free during the Garden City Grooves showcase.

Self-described “brass-pop klezmer-house” musicians, Funk Canon is a busking trio from right here in Victoria. You can expect a high energy performance from them on July 7th during the first Garden City Grooves showcase.
