Equipped with formidable technical skills and a cheeky attitude, the jazz trio known as MOON HOOCH were legendary subway buskers whose intoxicating combination of twin saxes and a drum kit tended to create instant rave parties on Brooklyn subway platforms. Before long, all that partying got them banned by the NYPD. Now with two albums out, and an expanded repertoire of house-music sounds that includes synth-pop, vocals, and plinky keyboards, Moon Hooch are a super-smart party band who have ridden the subway to mainstream success. Michael Wilbur saxophones/vocals/synthesizers, James Muschler drums/percussion/synthesizers, and Wenzl McGowen saxophones/clarinet/synthesizers

Moon Hooch

We are Moon Hooch - a Brooklyn-based collaboarative trio (Mike Wilbur - tenor saxophone, Wenzl McGowen - tenor saxophone, James Muschler - drums) that formed in the summer of 2010. Our music is a fusion of house, dance, drum and bass, jazz, world, and classical music. Our mission is to make people dance and be happy. -- Via Facebook more info
