C-Frets and the Icelandic Langspil
An old Icelandic folk instrument brought to life in a new way, with layered soundscapes, traditional melodies, rich rhythmic textures and deep bass.

Cathedral Bloom
Cathedral Bloom is a future-based hip-hop project of producer OKPK, MC Magicus Carpetus, and vocalist Antonia. The trio began developing their definitively dark and otherworldly sound in 2014, over many late nights of brainstorming and recording scratch tracks in their artist-driven neighbourhood of Fernwood, Victoria, BC. Their debut EP, released on Halloween of 2014, received rave reviews. Victoria is not a city known for its nightlife, but its nights alive with afterlife. It’s a place bursting with folklore, magic, and hauntings of a colonial history, all which fuel Cathedral Bloom’s sound. The group find themselves in a very ambiguous category within hip-hop. A blend of richly hued, organically textured beats, and lyrics exploring both unsettling and uplifting elements of a spiritual landscape, Cathedral Bloom’s music is a consciousness-bending hybrid of the human/mythic journey.
