“He’s a showman. If you haven’t seen him live you haven’t really experienced him in his true element” – The Montreal Gazette

Michael Kaeshammer is regarded as one of the most talented and entertaining musicians to come out of Canada, a gifted and hard-working world-class musician who connects with any concert hall audience as though he was entertaining guests in his living room. Kaeshammer has been called a triple threat combo of piano virtuosity, vocal ability, and charisma, a combination that has earned him international critical acclaim and a loyal fan base.

Kaeshammer, with his own band, last appeared in Victoria at the 2013 TD JazzFest to an excited crowd filled with standing ovations. For this Victoria performance Kaeshammer will be showcasing his New Orleans inspired boogie woogie, blues and jazz with his six member band which includes Nick La Riviere trombone and former Victorian Paul Pigat guitar.

Kaeshammer just released (August 28, 2015) his 9th studio album and his first solo piano recording The Pianist. Kaeshammer’s genius continues to garner widespread critical attention, awards, and honours of every kind, and audience acclamation in vociferous agreement that there is no brighter star on the jazz horizon.
