Join Victoria's premier women's choir for a evening of songs brimming with love and joy! Journey with us from age to age and coast to coast as we explore lyrical compositions old and new. From feisty French Canadian, to local lyrical composers, Ensemble Laude distills the spirit of Canada in this musical evening. Featured are our newest Canadian commissions, The Hummingbird, from up and coming East Coast composer Kathleen Allan, as well as the enchanting Requiem on Vancouver Island by Sarah Quartel. In addition to our usual medieval magic, Ensemble Laude will also present Scandinavian masterpieces such as the stirring hymn to the human spirit, Even When He is Silent and the driving Pakkanen by acclaimed group Rajaton.
